“Getting married is one of the most special things one can do in their lifetime, and a ceremony filled with intentional and meaningful words is the best way to celebrate ones union to each other, and to demonstrate your love and commitment to one another amongst friends and family.
Months before our wedding date Lara spent time with us. Neil has never really been a ceremony type of guy – so for him it was important to make our union different, meaningful, and a true reflection of ourselves. We wanted to recognise each other individually, in the context of our partnership, to celebrate the community that supports us and our future relationship, and also ask those around us to bear witness to our union and remind us of our values in times of difficulty. Lara helped us achieve this. She provided us with a lot of guidance on how to weave these ideas and values into our ceremony. She took time to help curate our ceremony, word for word, until it was exactly how we envisaged it and a true reflection of our partnership. Lara is an eloquent and entertaining marriage officer, offering ideas and practices to enrich the ceremony. She is both non-traditional and unique, but also holds customs and practices dear. She listens and will try to make your ceremonial marriage desires real. We undoubtably made the best decision having Lara marry us. Her wise and real words of encouragement will remain a memorable part of our commitment to one another for years to come.”
